not just any
hunter pace
The Pomfret Hunter Pace is a long-standing tradition, held on the grounds of Tyrone Farm in beautiful Pomfret, Connecticut. What sets it apart from other hunter paces is a combination of things. First, after riders have completed the course and taken care of their trusty mounts, they are treated to a full chicken barbecue in the beautiful and historic Tyrone barn.
Participants are invited to relax on the patio areas and enjoy the beautiful scenery and rolling hills of Tyrone Farm. After lunch, the focus returns to the barn for the announcement of winners in each class and the awarding of ribbons.
Event Schedule
Ride 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Lunch 12-2:00 p.m. Chicken Barbecue!
(Additional non-rider lunches available for purchase)
Adults - $65
Juniors (under 18) - $45
Boots & helmets are required.
Rabies & Coggins Certificates are required.
Event Classes
RIDER CLASSES: Hunters, Junior Hunters, Hilltoppers, and Junior Hilltoppers
PLEASE NOTE: Ribbons will be limited to 4 per team for each place, 1-6.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
HUNTERS
Hunters ride at a fast pace and take all jumps.
JUNIOR HUNTERS
Same as Hunters, but at least one rider on the team is under 18 years of age.
HILLTOPPERS
Hilltoppers ride at a moderate pace and jumps are optional.
JUNIOR HILLTOPPERS
Same as Hilltoppers, but at least one rider on the team us under 18 years of age.
